Hi. I recently purchased a 67 Falcon - more to save it from becoming scrap than anything else. I was shocked to open it and find what looks like it could be
the original interior in VERY good shape. There are benches with metal 60s looking hinges, a pink sparkle top console with sliding wood panels, a matching pink
sparkle table top that sits on a round leg when placed longwise or goes on a hutch unit that sits against the hitch side. The mattresses are teal vinyl with a
yellow/gold striped underside. One is near perfect on both sides with little sign of wear. The other has 4 small holes in on corner of the vinyl and the
mattress itself should probably be replaced but the vinyl could definitely be saved and re-attached to a new cushion.
Does anyone know what the original interior looked like? I wonder if unmodified, this is a unit that would be something an avid enthusiast/collector would really want to have.
I don't want to make any changes to it or certainly don't want to put it up for general sale if it is something that is truly a 'classic find'. I'm also not mechanically inclined so I really have no idea how or what to restore. I do love to travel and fell in love with the idea of staying at campgrounds instead of hotels. Though my camping experience is basically in my Ford on a site with utilities where I can plug in a lone coffee pot. Last summer I drove from Texas to upstate NY and stayed also in West Branch (Ravenna) Ohio which I positively LOVED. It was the first time I'd ever pitched a tent. I was quite proud of this achievement! The surrounding campers were so nice and I had fun -- until I saw a snake and freaked out and left. Sad, but I'm quite serious. This camper just seems to be something that someone who really appreciates it for exactly what it is.
Please look at the interior pics which are toward the end of 100+ photos I've put of this camper on photobucket. http://photobucket.com/67apache_falcon
If you are a collector, enthusiast, apache appreciator, I would consider selling it to you at a reasonable price and would also deliver it to you as I'm starting my "road trip" season next month.
This is like the coolest tent camper I've ever seen. I'm fascinated by this and all the ones I see on this site.
Thanks,
Hillary

I will check back to this site for replies also. I am sometimes slow at checking my email!
